Waites Sensor Technologies, Inc., a provider of AI-driven predictive maintenance solutions, has announced the launch of its Universal Adapter product suite, designed to improve interoperability across industrial sensor networks without requiring system overhauls.
The new adapters enable facilities to integrate a broad range of existing sensors—including 0–5V, 0–10V, 4–20mA, current transformers (CTs), and RTDs—directly with Waites’ wireless nodes. The data is then transmitted to the cloud for processing and analysis through Waites’ AI platform or customer-specific systems.
The move addresses a longstanding challenge in industrial operations: the lack of standardization among sensors and monitoring systems. Traditionally, companies have faced high costs and complexity when attempting to unify disparate devices within a single monitoring framework.
“For years, industrial operations and facilities have struggled with incomplete sensor systems requiring costly workarounds to access critical data,” said Rob Ratterman, CEO and co-founder of Waites. “This release is focused on removing those barriers to create a more accessible and streamlined data environment.”
Each adapter is designed for industrial-grade performance, withstanding extreme temperatures from -40°F to 185°F. Configurable data collection intervals and wireless transmission to the Waites cloud further support rapid deployment and operational flexibility.

The Universal Adapter suite represents a strategic addition to Waites’ product portfolio as industries seek more efficient ways to unify legacy systems with modern analytics platforms.
