Toshiba Enhances Industrial Connectivity with DCL52xx00 Series

DCL52xx00

Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation announced the launch of its latest dual-channel, high-speed standard digital isolators designed to enhance stable, isolated data transmission in industrial equipment. The new “DCL52xx00 Series” features four models offering high common mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 100kV/μs and data transmission speeds of up to 150Mbps. Shipments began today.

The DCL52xx00 lineup includes two models (“DCL520C00” and “DCL520D00”) with dual forward channels and two models (“DCL521C00” and “DCL521D00”) with one forward and one reverse channel. These products complement Toshiba’s previously launched quad-channel “DCL54xx01 Series,” expanding the company’s isolator portfolio to 14 configurations. The broader range is expected to provide greater flexibility for system designers in industrial applications.

The new series leverages Toshiba’s proprietary magnetic coupling isolation technology, achieving a CMTI performance equivalent to its higher-channel predecessors. This high resistance to electrical noise enhances the stability of isolated control signals and supports reliable system operation in harsh industrial environments.

Toshiba also emphasized performance improvements, including a low pulse width distortion of 0.8 nanoseconds and support for high-speed communication interfaces such as UART and I²C. These capabilities make the DCL52xx00 Series well-suited for multi-channel, high-speed data communication systems.

Already in mass production of isolators for industrial and automotive applications, Toshiba plans to expand its product range further by adding new package types and channel configurations. The company said it remains committed to providing high-reliability isolation devices and photocouplers that meet the stringent performance and safety standards required in modern industrial and automotive systems.
