Silanna Semiconductor has launched its first Evaluation Kits (EVKs) for the Plural family of high-performance analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), marking a strategic push to disrupt what it describes as an overpriced and sole-sourced market dominated by legacy providers.
The EVKs, now available through authorized distributors, are designed to enable rapid testing and deployment of Silanna’s Plural ADC products, which span four resolution families—10-bit, 12-bit, 14-bit, and 16-bit—with sampling rates from 20 to 250 megasamples per second (Msps). These kits offer engineers a simplified and cost-effective way to evaluate compatibility, integration, and performance.
At the heart of the Plural platform is a patented architecture allowing a single die to be factory-configured post-silicon into more than 35 product variants. This flexibility enables Silanna to hold wafers in inventory and customize them on demand, significantly shortening product lead times. According to the company, over 60% of its 150 ADC offerings are pin-to-pin compatible with products from established players, while offering up to 30% cost savings.
“Many engineers we speak to are being forced into sole-source solutions and they’re paying the price,” said Patrick Moore, Vice President of Sales at Silanna Semiconductor. “We are here to offer the market a choice. Silanna’s platform ADC solutions and EVKs offer a sharp alternative to the legacy brands: everything you need, nothing you don’t, at 30% lower costs.”
The initial rollout will include 50 ADC models, with the full catalog of over 150 products expected by the end of the second quarter of 2026. Silanna’s just-in-time delivery model stands in contrast to what it calls the “months-long” lead times typical of traditional suppliers.
Headquartered in San Diego, Silanna Semiconductor develops analog technologies for industrial and communications markets. The company’s ADC division, launched in 2025, is privately funded, with all IP developed in the U.S. and manufacturing conducted outside China. Silanna is part of the Silanna Group, founded in 2006 and registered in Australia.
