proteanTecs, a provider of deep data analytics for electronics health monitoring, and Dream Chip Technologies, a Tessolve company specializing in advanced image signal processors (ISP), have announced a collaboration aimed at strengthening functional safety and performance in next-generation imaging systems.
The partnership targets applications in automotive, industrial, aerospace, robotics, and other critical sectors where high-performance computing (HPC) and computer vision are increasingly central to system design.
Dream Chip’s modular ISP architecture, designed for scalability, allows customers to tailor imaging pipelines to specific use cases. Its low-latency design delivers high performance with minimal power consumption, while its silicon-proven platform meets ISO 26262 safety requirements, a key benchmark for automotive-grade reliability.
As part of the collaboration, proteanTecs will integrate its embedded on-chip monitors into Dream Chip’s system-on-chip (SoC) design platform. This integration is expected to improve functional safety (FuSa), bolster system reliability, and enhance mission profiles while optimizing power and performance envelopes.
The combined solution brings predictive intelligence to imaging systems, leveraging proteanTecs’ workload-aware monitoring to identify emerging issues before they escalate. By providing early warnings and actionable insights, the companies aim to reduce risk and extend system resilience in safety-critical environments.
“The automotive industry demands the highest levels of safety and reliability,” said Jens Benndorf, chief executive officer at Dream Chip Technologies. “As ISP adoption expands across advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving, our collaboration with proteanTecs enables next-level visibility and machine learning-based predictive intelligence. Customers will benefit from improved robustness, performance, and security.”
Uzi Baruch, chief strategy officer at proteanTecs, said the partnership responds to rising performance demands in automotive and aerospace markets. “By combining proteanTecs’ continuous monitoring and predictive insights with Dream Chip’s customizable ISP architecture, we can address the growing need for speed, image quality, efficiency, and reliability,” he said.
