ZenaTech, Inc. (Nasdaq: ZENA) has announced an offer to acquire a Florida-based land survey engineering firm to bolster its Drone as a Service (DaaS) operations in the Southeast U.S. This potential acquisition would be the company’s fourth in the Southeast region and fifth nationwide.
The Florida firm would serve as a bolt-on to a recently acquired land survey company, enhancing ZenaTech’s presence in the rapidly growing Florida market. The acquisition aims to accelerate the company’s rollout of drone-powered land survey services to customers in construction, real estate, and government sectors.
ZenaTech CEO Shaun Passley, Ph.D., said the deal would enable faster, more precise surveys and support the company’s goal to build a scalable recurring revenue business amid a drone survey market expanding at over 19% annually. “This target acquisition will strengthen our regional Florida coverage by delivering faster and more precise drone-powered surveys to construction, real estate, and government customers, while accelerating our broader US DaaS rollout,” Passley said.
ZenaTech specializes in AI-driven drones, enterprise SaaS, and Quantum Computing solutions. Its DaaS business model allows clients to access drone technology on a subscription or pay-per-use basis without owning or operating the equipment.
The company’s drones use advanced sensors, cameras, LiDAR, and GPS to capture high-resolution aerial data, streamlining land surveys that traditionally took weeks or months. The DaaS model also handles pilot management, regulatory compliance, and maintenance.
