Kappa Optronics GmbH, a prominent player in aviation, defense, and automotive vision systems, has selected THine Solutions, Inc.’s V-by-One HS Chipset for their Rearview OneBox digital mirror system. This move aims to address common issues associated with traditional mirrors, including limited visibility in adverse weather conditions, blind spots, and aerodynamic challenges.
The Rearview OneBox by Kappa stands out for its innovative approach, providing solutions to conventional mirror problems. Already applied in high-performance vehicles like the Aston Martin Valkyrie, the Gordon Murray T.50, and the KTM X-Bow GT-XR, this system is endorsed by Formula 1 world-champion Jenson Button.
THine’s V-by-One® HS Chipset offers a market-proven high-speed video transmission technology, allowing the camera to be placed at a distance from the processing unit—an essential feature for Camera Monitoring Systems (CMS). Kappa’s integration efforts were supported by THine’s Kit Solutions and technical expertise.
