Test and measurement equipment manufacturer GW Instek has introduced a new suite of smart measurement tools aimed at improving efficiency and precision in industrial automation, semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle production, and AI server development.

The company’s latest release includes the DAQ-9600 Modular Data Acquisition System, the GDM-9061 Digital Multimeter, and an expanded GDM-9000 Series, comprising five new models. Designed for industrial inspection, laboratory R&D, and high-throughput production lines, the portfolio reflects GW Instek’s strategy to deliver scalable solutions that address the testing challenges of next-generation technologies.

The DAQ-9600 system supports up to seven interchangeable modules and 120 measurement channels. It enables multi-parameter battery pack testing and high-voltage measurements with the newly introduced DAQ-909 module, which supports DC 600V and AC 400V. The system is equipped with a 4.3-inch display, 6.5-digit resolution, and 0.0035% DC voltage accuracy. Its modular design aims to reduce procurement costs and setup time, especially in production environments where rapid configuration is critical.

Complementing the data acquisition system is the GDM-9000 Series of digital multimeters. The flagship GDM-9061 offers high-speed measurement at up to 10,000 readings per second, making it suitable for static parameter scans in semiconductor testing. The range includes models with AI-assisted measurement capabilities that automatically detect signal types and apply appropriate settings, designed to improve accuracy and ease of use, particularly for entry-level operators.

GW Instek reports that the DAQ-9600 has already seen adoption across various sectors in the Asia-Pacific region, including in applications such as AI server thermal analysis, PCB mechanical stress testing, and semiconductor process monitoring. The company positions the product family as bridging the gap between traditional benchtop instruments and system-level solutions.

A spokesperson for GW Instek stated that the launch aims to set a new benchmark for speed, flexibility, and reliability in test and measurement as industries face growing pressure to streamline processes and reduce operational costs.

Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Taiwan, GW Instek supplies electronic test and measurement instruments to customers in over 80 countries. Its product lines span oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, and safety testers, supporting industries ranging from education and research to high-tech manufacturing.
