Bambu Lab Launches H2C in Australia for Waste-Free Multi-Material 3D Printing

H2C 3D Printer

Bambu Lab has rolled out its advanced H2C 3D printer in Australia, targeting professionals, educators and hobbyists with a system that delivers industrial-grade multi-material printing on the desktop. Available since November 18 through the company’s online store and authorized resellers, the H2C starts at A$3,699, positioning it as a premium tool for complex prototyping and production.

The H2C stands out with its Vortek Hotend Change System, which supports six swappable hotends and handles up to 24 filaments when paired with the Automatic Material System (AMS). This setup enables seven-material prints without purge waste, slashing material costs and cleanup time for smaller jobs. A permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) servo extruder generates up to 10 kg of force, while an inductive heating system reaches operating temperature in eight seconds to sustain high-speed performance.

Automation defines the user experience, with features like touchless bed leveling, AI-driven nozzle cleaning, pre-print plate scanning and real-time extrusion monitoring via a macro lens camera. Each hotend stores filament memory for seamless swaps, and contactless high-frequency communication ensures micrometer-level precision without mechanical wear. The enclosed chamber, built with flame-retardant materials, includes adaptive airflow and filtration to stabilize temperatures for engineering filaments and minimize particulates.

“This printer unlocks reliable multi-color and engineering-grade printing for Australian creators,” said Xuming Wu, ANZ Sales Manager at Bambu Lab. “From design studios to R&D teams, the H2C simplifies workflows so users focus on innovation, not maintenance.”

Ideal for cosplay workshops, research labs and advanced hobby spaces, the H2C addresses demands for speed, cleanliness and versatility in sectors like education and product development. Bambu Lab is also expanding its entry-level A/P Series into Officeworks, Harvey Norman and JB Hi-Fi stores from early December, starting at A$329.

The launch reflects growing appetite for accessible high-end additive manufacturing Down Under, where desktop systems increasingly rival professional setups. Bambu Lab’s focus on waste reduction and reliability could accelerate adoption among cost-conscious engineers and makers navigating supply chain pressures.
