AFL and VIE Technologies Partner to Deliver AI-Powered Infrastructure Monitoring

Agreement

AFL, a global provider of fiber optic cables and connectivity solutions, has entered a strategic partnership with VIE Technologies, a company specializing in non-invasive, AI-powered predictive monitoring for industrial and energy infrastructure. The collaboration aims to deliver advanced monitoring capabilities to the energy and data center sectors.

The joint effort will combine AFL’s experience in connectivity and network infrastructure with VIE Technologies’ analytics platform, which uses continuous sensing and machine learning to forecast equipment failures in power transformers and mechanical systems such as pumps and chillers. The solution is designed to help operators minimize downtime, lower maintenance costs, and extend asset life.

“As utilities and data centers look for smarter ways to manage risk, our partnership with VIE Technologies supports a more proactive approach to infrastructure monitoring,” said David LeBlanc, Vice President of Corporate Development and Transformation at AFL. “This strengthens our portfolio by integrating advanced diagnostics with connectivity.”

The predictive monitoring system is capable of identifying anomalies and failure risks weeks or even months in advance, enabling operators to take corrective action before disruptions occur. According to the companies, this capability is especially critical as infrastructure systems face increasing pressure to deliver uninterrupted service amid rising demand.

Rahul Chaturvedi, CEO and Co-Founder of VIE Technologies, said the collaboration aligns with broader industry efforts to modernize infrastructure through data-driven technologies. “AFL’s leadership in connectivity complements our goal of enabling more resilient and intelligent power systems through continuous sensing and AI,” Chaturvedi said.

The partnership reflects a growing focus in the industrial and utility sectors on integrating connectivity and analytics to improve asset performance and operational efficiency. Both companies expect the combined offering to support long-term reliability strategies across a range of high-value infrastructure environments.
