Goldmedal Electricals has expanded its smart lighting portfolio with the launch of the G-Sense LED Batten, a motion-sensor-enabled solution designed to enhance convenience, safety and energy efficiency across residential and commercial environments.
Positioned as a modern upgrade to conventional indoor lighting, the G-Sense LED Batten integrates microwave motion-detection technology capable of sensing movement within a 5–7 metre range and a wide 120-degree field. The system automatically adjusts brightness based on occupancy: delivering full 20W illumination when motion is detected and shifting to a dimmer 6W standby mode when the area is vacant. This dual-brightness feature aims to lower power consumption without compromising user comfort.
The batten offers a cool 6500K colour temperature and high lumen output suitable for corridors, workspaces, hospitality areas and general home interiors. Built with polycarbonate housing, the product is rated for up to 25,000 burning hours, underscoring durability for long-term use. Its streamlined, contemporary design aligns with modern aesthetic preferences, making it adaptable to a broad range of indoor settings.
