IPR Robotics, a provider of robotic tooling and automation systems, has launched StackTrax, a fully customizable Dual 7th Axis rail system designed to extend robot reach and simplify deployment for manufacturers.
The platform, aimed at applications such as CNC machining, material removal, and machine tending, expands the working envelope of robots without the overhead supports and long installation times typical of gantry-style systems. By combining two linear axes into one compact design, StackTrax provides gantry-like functionality with reduced complexity and cost.
“StackTrax fills an important gap by delivering more capability than a single rail and a simpler, more cost-effective solution than a gantry,” said Anthony Leo, president of IPR Robotics. “With customization at its core, StackTrax adapts to any environment and application.”
The system is compatible with all major robot brands and can operate with or without a robot, enabling flexibility across a wide range of payloads. This makes it suitable for both compact production cells and large-scale industrial deployments. Walkable covers simplify maintenance, while the dual-axis design reduces programming constraints and extends reach in tighter spaces.
Key advantages include a customizable footprint, compatibility with multiple robot types, support for light to heavy-duty payloads, and faster installation using IPR’s standard components. The company said StackTrax allows manufacturers to boost automation efficiency while cutting integration costs compared with conventional gantries.
StackTrax is available immediately to customers worldwide.
