Circus SE Gains NATO Approval to Supply AI Robotics for Defense Operations

Nato-Circus

Circus SE (XETRA: CA1), a developer of AI software and robotics for the food service industry, has been approved as a certified supplier by the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). The listing allows the company to participate in NATO defense, logistics, and crisis response procurement programs across all member states.

The certification is a prerequisite for bidding on NATO tenders and direct contract awards. It is granted only to companies with an established presence in relevant sectors and that meet the alliance’s security, quality, and financial requirements, including AQAP and ISO standards.

Circus is the first registered NATO supplier to offer fully autonomous systems, including its CA-1 and CA-M platforms powered by AI robotics. The approval enables the company to compete alongside global defense contractors such as Lockheed Martin, Renk, and Rheinmetall, whose details appear in the same procurement listings used by NATO officials.

The accreditation also allows Circus to use NATO’s digital procurement systems, simplifying the process of securing future contracts. The company said it plans to align its technology with NATO’s growing demand for autonomous and technology-driven solutions in defense operations.

“This NATO certification confirms our compliance with the alliance’s strict standards and unlocks the next phase of our global expansion,” said Nikolas Bullwinkel, CEO and founder of Circus SE. “It strengthens our position in defense sector applications and allows us to contribute to operations across NATO member states.”

The listing follows Circus SE’s recent approval as a supplier to the U.S. government and the Department of Defense. The company said the NATO certification positions it as a deployable partner for AI-powered nutrition systems in field operations, training exercises, and emergency missions.

With access to NATO’s multinational procurement programs, Circus expands its presence in the defense sector while building on its existing government partnerships.
