UBILITE, a California-based company specializing in ultra-low power wireless connectivity, has appointed George Holmes as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board.
Holmes brings more than four decades of executive leadership experience, most recently serving as Chairman and CEO of Resonant Inc. (Nasdaq: RESN). Under his leadership, Resonant expanded from a startup to a company acquired by Murata in 2022 for over $300 million. Throughout his career, Holmes has been instrumental in building and scaling multiple technology companies, generating more than $3.5 billion in shareholder value through strategic partnerships, operational turnarounds, and mergers and acquisitions. He currently serves on the boards of Luventix and Vetabolics.
“I’m excited to join UBILITE,” said Holmes in a statement. “The company’s wireless architecture is purpose-built for AI-powered edge devices, addressing the challenge of achieving high data throughput without compromising battery life.”
UBILITE also announced the appointment of Dr. Peter Gammel as President and Chief Operating Officer. Gammel brings extensive experience from senior technical roles, including Vice President and CTO of the Mobile and Wireless Infrastructure Business Unit at GlobalFoundries, and CTO at Skyworks Solutions, Inc.
“Peter’s deep technical knowledge and experience in the semiconductor and wireless sectors will be critical as we execute UBILITE’s technology roadmap,” Holmes added.
