Blaize Secures $120M Deal to Power Asia’s Hybrid AI Future

Contract Signing

Blaize Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: BZAI, BZAIW), a U.S.-based leader in energy-efficient edge AI computing, has secured a major contract with Asia’s Starshine Computing Power Technology Ltd. to deliver hybrid AI infrastructure across key Asia-Pacific markets. The 18-month agreement, valued at a minimum of $120 million, begins in Q3 of fiscal 2025 and will extend through 2026.

The collaboration marks a significant step toward deploying programmable, multimodal, real-time AI infrastructure in Asia’s fast-growing economies, where smart city initiatives, industrial automation, and climate resilience programs are fueling demand for advanced edge solutions.

“This is the beginning of real-world AI infrastructure at scale,” said Dinakar Munagala, co-founder and CEO of Blaize. “Asia represents a $112 billion opportunity for next-gen intelligent systems. Our hybrid AI platform is purpose-built for edge computing—balancing flexibility, performance, and energy efficiency.”

Blaize’s GSP® (Graph Streaming Processor)-based hybrid AI platform integrates with traditional GPU-based infrastructure to form next-generation computing clusters. These systems are optimized for real-time, localized AI inference at the edge, enabling lower energy consumption, reduced total cost of ownership, and multimodal data processing across sectors.

Initial deployments will target smart city applications, with rollouts planned in India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, and China. Use cases include AI-powered urban surveillance, real-time video analytics in retail, predictive maintenance in manufacturing and logistics, and resource-optimized agriculture.

“Hybrid AI is no longer an experiment; it’s infrastructure,” said Teng Ma, Chairman of Starshine. “Blaize delivers exactly what our customers demand—scalable, efficient, and flexible platforms built for real-world deployment.”

The deal also includes joint development of new software capabilities to expand into additional verticals beyond smart cities. The partnership aims to position Blaize’s hybrid architecture as a backbone for sovereign-grade AI infrastructure across the region.

With governments and industries across APAC increasingly prioritizing AI to drive economic growth and modernization, Blaize’s scalable hybrid model aligns with a shift toward decentralized, localized computing solutions. The rollout is expected to enable countries to strengthen their digital sovereignty while building resilient and intelligent public systems.
