Benchmark Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: BHE), a global provider of engineering, design, and manufacturing services, has announced two major developments aimed at accelerating its strategic growth and operational excellence. The company inaugurated a new advanced manufacturing facility in Guadalajara, Mexico, while also strengthening its board of directors with the appointment of veteran finance executive Glynis A. Bryan.

The newly unveiled 321,000-square-foot facility in Parque Industrial San Jorge, Tlajomulco, expands Benchmark’s manufacturing footprint in the Jalisco region by 50%. The state-of-the-art site consolidates multiple operations into a single, purpose-built space to support customers in the medical, industrial, advanced computing, and next-generation communications sectors. With modernized production flows, robust IT infrastructure, and increased capacity, the new plant is positioned to drive innovation and scalability across Benchmark’s global operations.

“Our new facility in Guadalajara is the cornerstone of our investment in Mexico and supports our global growth strategy,” said Jeff Benck, President and CEO of Benchmark. “It allows us to better serve complex and highly regulated industries with a world-class product realization platform.”

The grand opening drew a wide range of stakeholders including customers, employees, government officials, and academic partners. The company emphasized its commitment to workforce development and community engagement, highlighting partnerships with local universities and technical schools to build a pipeline of skilled talent.

“This site represents a launchpad for our next chapter in Guadalajara,” said Dagoberto Esquer, General Manager of Benchmark Guadalajara. “We’re investing in people, infrastructure, and innovation to drive long-term value.”

In parallel with the facility expansion, Benchmark also announced the appointment of Glynis A. Bryan to its Board of Directors. Bryan recently retired as CFO of Insight Enterprises, Inc., following a distinguished career that included leadership roles at Swift Transportation, APL Logistics, and Ryder System. She currently serves on the boards of Ameriprise Financial, Pinnacle West Capital, and WESCO International.

“Glynis brings a deep well of financial and operational expertise that will be instrumental as we execute on our long-term strategy,” said David W. Scheible, Chairman of the Board.
