Bartronics India Signs MoU with Singapore’s PTW Group

Fintech solution provider Bartronics India Ltd. signs MoU with Singapore-based PTW Group, a semiconductor solutions provider. This agreement, signed after a meeting with the Minister of IT, will help bolster India’s semiconductor industry.

 

The merger will help establish production, refurbishing and training facilities in India to address the growing demands of semiconductor industry. It will further drive innovation in products, services, and training. The agreement will also support R&D, manufacturing, workforce training, and international collaborations, aligning with India’s goal of becoming a global semiconductor hub.

 

With presence across 14 countries, PTW is the only refurbisher globally that has ‘approved vendor’ status with over 700 fabs worldwide. Some of the renowned names include TSMC, UMC, Global Foundries, Sony, Texas Instruments, Samsung, Micron and others.

 

Managing director of PTW Group, Torsten Seifried quoted that the company was excited about its collaboration and contribution towards semicon production equipment in India, especially in the power-semi segment. “With the Bartronics collaboration, we aim to quickly gain local knowledge of the Indian market and address the immediate potential to help with emerging fabs in India. In the long-term we aim to establish India as a key development, production and refurbishment center for our global operations.”

 

On the other hand, Bartronics sees this agreement as an opportunity to reinforce its role as a technological pioneer in India’s growing semiconductor opportunity. The alliance with PTW is an extension of its vision to stay ahead in embracing technological advancements and making substantial positive impact and contributing meaningfully to India’s economic and technological growth. Notably, TOP2, a consulting firm from Singapore, is advising PTW and Bartronics on the proposed merger.
