Aeris, a global provider of SaaS-based IoT connectivity solutions, has received a strategic investment from TA Associates, a global growth private equity firm, the company announced Monday. The partnership is intended to support Aeris’ expansion of enterprise-grade IoT solutions for businesses, service providers, and channel partners worldwide. Financial terms of the minority stake were not disclosed.
Aeris has been active in the IoT sector for more than 30 years, providing technology platforms and solutions across industries including automotive, utilities, energy, fleet management, medical devices, and manufacturing. Its offerings, such as the Aeris IoT Accelerator Platform, Aeris IoT Watchtower, and Aeris Mobility Suite, enable enterprises and operator partners to manage nearly 100 million connected devices globally, including more than 41 million connected vehicles.
Marc Jones, Aeris Board Chair, said the investment represents a key milestone for the company. “Aeris has proven expertise in delivering AI-powered security and data-driven insights through our connectivity management platform. This partnership with TA supports the next stage of our growth,” he said.
Aeris CEO Aziz Benmalek added that the collaboration with TA will accelerate adoption of the company’s Agentic AI and IoT security capabilities. “With TA’s support, we aim to help enterprises achieve greater efficiency, scalability, and flexibility through our technology platforms and solutions,” Benmalek said.
Representatives from TA Associates emphasized their confidence in Aeris’ long-term growth potential. “Aeris’ track record of innovation, global scale, and strong customer relationships provides a solid foundation for continued expansion,” said Nick Leppla, Director at TA, along with Managing Director Jason Werlin. The firm will join Aeris’ Board of Directors and work alongside company leadership to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and product innovation.
