Silanna Semiconductor, a global analog technology innovator, has signed a distribution agreement with DigiKey, one of the world’s largest electronic component distributors, to make its Plural family of 10- to 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) widely available to engineers and manufacturers worldwide.
Under the agreement, DigiKey will distribute Silanna’s Plural ADCs, which leverage the company’s patented ResolutionEngine to enable flexible configuration at the factory level. The technology allows a single base design to be configured for different resolutions, producing a broad range of high-performance SKUs with shorter lead times and costs up to 30% lower than those of legacy ADC providers.
Unlike traditional data converter manufacturing, where each ADC variant requires independent fabrication, Silanna’s unified approach enhances production efficiency and scalability. The company said initial configurations are designed as drop-in replacements for commonly used ADCs, providing customers with faster access and easier integration into existing systems.
“Recent years have seen the ADC market consolidate to a handful of legacy brands,” said Patrick Moore, Vice President of Global Sales & Applications at Silanna. “Our Plural platform challenges that model, delivering performance and flexibility at a fraction of the cost and lead time. Partnering with DigiKey allows us to bring much-needed choice and supply reliability to customers globally.”
Ken Paxton, Director of Advanced Semiconductor at DigiKey, said the partnership expands the distributor’s portfolio with innovative products that improve design efficiency. “Adding Silanna’s high-performance ADCs strengthens our offering and supports customers seeking faster, more cost-effective component sourcing,” he said.
The distribution agreement takes effect immediately, with Plural ADCs now available through DigiKey’s global sales channels.
