Circus SE (XETRA: CA1 / WKN: A2YN35) announced the filing of six new patents covering key technologies in its autonomous AI robot system, CA-M, designed for security-critical and military environments. The filings aim to protect core capabilities of the robot, which uniquely combines autonomous culinary functions with defense-grade robotics.
The patents cover multiple aspects of autonomous food preparation within the CA-M system, highlighting Circus’ positioning as a dual-use robotics innovator at the intersection of artificial intelligence, automation, and defense infrastructure. By securing these technologies, the company seeks to establish a competitive edge in the growing market for autonomous support systems used by NATO and allied forces.
“These patents will determine how successfully we can roll out globally,” said Nikolas Bullwinkel, Founder and CEO of Circus SE. “We are not just automating field catering – we are redefining how critical missions are sustained, supported, and supplied.” He emphasized that the strategy aims to control the technological standard and platform direction in defense-oriented robotics.
The filings follow the successful grant of Circus’ core CA-1 AI robot patent in April 2025 and mark a move toward comprehensive intellectual property protection. The new patents create significant barriers for competitors, who will be compelled to develop alternative solutions that may be less efficient or more costly. This provides Circus with additional time to expand market share and influence technological standards within defense robotics.
Circus SE’s strategy underscores the company’s evolution from an early-stage AI robotics developer into a strategic deep-tech enterprise, leveraging proprietary technology to secure its place in the emerging autonomous support systems sector. The filings are expected to reinforce Circus’ leadership in AI-driven robotics and support its broader ambitions in global defense markets.
