Optoma Rolls Out UHD+ ProAV Projector in India to Target Large Venues

Optoma ZK1320

Optoma, the DLP projector manufacturer with continental headquarters in Asia, Europe, and the United States, introduced its latest professional-grade projector, the ZK1320, at InfoComm 2025 in Mumbai, expanding its ProAV portfolio with a focus on high brightness and flexible installation features.

The ZK1320, described by the company as its next-generation ProAV model, is equipped with Texas Instruments’ HEP DLP chip and delivers true 4K UHD+ resolution (3840 x 2400 pixels). The system is designed to provide sharper and more detailed images across large screens. With 13,500 lumens of brightness and a 4,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Optoma said the projector is built to maintain clarity and color performance even in large halls or brightly lit spaces.

Flexibility in installation is one of the projector’s central features. The ZK1320 supports ten interchangeable motorized lenses, including an ultra-short throw snorkel lens that allows for large-scale projection from short distances or from concealed ceiling-mounted positions. Wide zoom and lens-shift adjustments further expand its adaptability across a variety of professional settings, ranging from museums to auditoriums.

Durability is another area emphasized by the company. The projector uses DuraCore laser technology, offering up to 30,000 hours of operation in eco mode, and is IP5X-certified for dust resistance, supporting continuous 24/7 usage. It also enables 360-degree installation, allowing deployment in immersive rooms, simulation environments, and projection mapping applications.

For more complex installations, the projector incorporates Optoma’s Visual Suite software, which provides tools for image blending, warping, and color calibration to support projection on curved or irregular surfaces. The addition of Art-Net support allows integration with stage lighting systems for coordinated live productions.

On the connectivity side, the ZK1320 supports HDBaseT 3.0, which can transmit uncompressed 4K video, Ethernet, control signals, and power over a single cable, helping reduce installation complexity. It also includes the Optoma Management Suite (OMS), a remote management platform that enables real-time monitoring, diagnostics, updates, and device cloning via cloud or LAN.

“With the launch of our next-gen Pro AV projector ZK1320 we want to address the growing need of complex projection setups and offer superior brightness and lifelike image quality,” said Vijay Sharma, Managing Director, Optoma Technology India Pvt. Ltd. He added that the product reflects the company’s effort to enhance both performance and usability in the ProAV segment.

The inclusion of OMS Cloud allows users to access the projector’s interface remotely, providing options for web-based management and enhancing adaptability in large-scale installations.

By combining high brightness, flexible installation, and long operational life, the ZK1320 is positioned for use in venues such as auditoriums, museums, live events, and other professional environments requiring large-scale projection. The product launch at InfoComm reflects Optoma’s continued efforts to maintain its presence in the professional audiovisual market.
