nVent Electric plc (NYSE: NVT), a global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, announced it has leased a new 117,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Blaine, Minnesota. The expansion is aimed at meeting rising demand for liquid cooling systems in data centers, particularly as artificial intelligence and high-density computing drive infrastructure growth.
Production at the Blaine site is scheduled to begin in early 2026. The facility will focus on developing new products for data center customers, with a strong emphasis on liquid cooling technologies. Once fully operational, it is expected to employ more than 175 people.
The Blaine site marks nVent’s second major data center manufacturing expansion in two years, following the enlargement of its Anoka, Minnesota facility. Together, the two locations are projected to create more than 325 new jobs in the region.
Sara Zawoyski, President of nVent Systems Protection, said the company’s expanded capacity reflects its role in supporting AI infrastructure. “Our investments in innovation and production capacity underscore our ability to help customers address their most complex challenges,” she said.
nVent has established itself as a leader in liquid cooling solutions, having deployed more than one gigawatt of liquid cooling since 2020. The company works with global cloud service providers and leading semiconductor manufacturers to deliver scalable cooling systems capable of handling increasing computational demands.
