Gateway Fiber said on Tuesday it will operate under a single brand name following its recent merger with E-Rate provider WANRack and broadband company KWIKOM, marking a significant step toward streamlining its operations and strengthening its market presence.
Effective immediately, all residential and business fiber internet services offered by Gateway Fiber and KWIKOM will be consolidated under the Gateway Fiber brand. WANRack’s educational broadband services will continue to operate as “WANRack powered by Gateway Fiber” through the end of 2025, with full brand integration expected in 2026.
The move comes as the newly merged entity seeks to present a unified identity across its residential, commercial, enterprise, and education-focused broadband offerings. Gateway Fiber said the consolidation will not affect existing customer service plans, pricing, or support channels.
“By bringing our residential and business services under the Gateway Fiber name, we’re creating a consistent, straightforward experience for all customers, including longtime KWIKOM customers,” said Chris Surdo, CEO of Gateway Fiber. “At the same time, retaining the WANRack name for our E-Rate business honors its trusted reputation in the education sector.”
Gateway Fiber plans to roll out updated branding across billing statements, service vehicles, and customer communications in the coming months. KWIKOM customers will be notified by email as the changes are implemented, and a new landing page with FAQs has been launched to assist with the transition.
The merger, first announced earlier this year, brings together three regional fiber providers under one umbrella, expanding Gateway Fiber’s network footprint across several states and strengthening its position in the growing fiber broadband market.
“This is about unifying our team, our mission, and our customers under one brand,” said John Meyer, Chief Customer Officer. “One name, one promise: fairer, friendlier, faster internet for everyone.”
The rebranding is part of a broader strategy to enhance brand clarity, simplify customer experience, and accelerate the deployment of fiber broadband services to underserved communities.
