The collaboration aims to introduce smart voice control to KT’s latest set-top box, the Genie TV All-in-One Soundbar. By integrating TalkTo, a precision far-field voice recognition technology from DSP Concepts, KT is able to provide users with premium sound quality, immersive experiences, and voice-controlled functionality.
Utilizing the renowned Audio Weaver platform, TalkTo is an Audio Front End technology that leverages advanced signal processing techniques to deliver clear audio signals for voice assistants. With TalkTo integrated into the Genie TV, users can effortlessly control the device and perform voice searches for content across their living spaces.
By optimizing the acoustics specifically for the Genie TV and employing TalkTo, KT enables the GiGA Genie AI voice assistant to respond effectively while delivering immersive sound. The Genie TV features a multi-microphone TalkTo design that incorporates Acoustic Echo Cancellation, beamforming, and noise reduction algorithms for superior far-field voice performance. The TalkTo processing seamlessly runs on the powerful Cadence Tensilica HiFi 4 DSP, embedded in the S905X4 SoC from Amlogic.
